If you have any questions please PM me, and I will help you. If you aren't using the cart ALL the time I don't think you need to put in a rack n pinion. The ross is a reliable box. It's messy as crap because of the grease, and can be a little stiff in areas, but it works great. My cart is 30 years old, and runs great.

I know this is a old thread. But Ive just broken my steering pivot arm. This is the only picture and post I can find. Is there anyone out there that knows where I can find one? I sheared the bolt off of the plate.

I realize this is an old thread, however, it only illustrates the value of this forum. Finding this thread and the great pic's, enabled me to remove most of the "slop" in my '83 DS Ross steering box. I'm grateful to be able to access such a valuable resource...!!! Thanks to the mod's and all who contribute...!!!

Get a rack
It's a simple swap.

I haven't seen a write up on it, but it's pretty much a direct swap. I believe wo only had to drill one hole. Took me and my brother less than an hour and a half to swap in a rack in his '82.
