Default Universal 7-wire turn signal kit help!

I recently purchased a universal 7-wire turn signal kit from here:
http://www.golfcarcatalog.com/catalo...d=1535&id=3351

The problem I have run into is that it came with absolutely no instructions! The thing has 8 different colored wires coming out of it(yea I know...8 wires on what is called a 7-wire kit) and I have no idea what is supposed to go to what!? Please help!

Hey slick, what are you putting it on? What is there now? Unless there is already a pug there now this may be too hard to do online! Google a simple 7 wire trailer plug wiring diagram .... Or contact member pggroves. He is very good at trailer wiring and loves to help

It is going on a 1999 EZ-GO TXT. The cart already had headlights and taillights hooked up. There are turn signals in the front with 2 wires coming out of them they were just never hooked up. The rear lights each have one extra wire coming out which has to be for a brighter filament in the bulbs.

My problem is the fact that my turn signal kit literally gives me 8 bare end wires and I have no idea what to hook to where! I'm from the car audio world so my instinct is to hook yellow to battery, black to ground, and red to an ignition switched power source. I'm not sure if this is correct or not though. Really what I need help with is figuring out which wires are to be used for power and ground. Once I get power going to the switch correctly I will be able to test which wires serve as left flasher, right flasher, etc...

No Frame Grounds On Electric Carts!

All Grounds Reference To Battery Negative!!!

Slick, when a vendor sells me a sub-standard product I make certain that vendor is keenly aware of their shortcomings.

i bought the 8 wire kit from buggies unlimited and i have their instructions. i think that most of the signal kits come from the same manufacturer, chris products. i plan on installing it labor day weekend. the instructions are 2 pages and are not very easy to understand. email me at caycebugs@sc.rr.com with a fax number and i will be glad to fax or attempt to email them to you.

ps. i think the difference between 7 wire and 8 wire is a ground.

Standard 7 conductor trailer wires have:

1. Yellow = Left side flasher
2. Blue = Fog Lamps
3. White = Earth, Ground, aka Negative
4. Green = Right hand flasher
5. Brown = Right Side lights
6. Black = Left side lights
7. Red = Brake lights

If that is correct...which wire do I connect to a power source?
