![]() OK im brand new to the site and i know i have a yamaha gas cart but im unsure of what type it is. I was just wondering what i should do because everytime i start it up it will idle and i will press the gas and it wont go. I had to get pulled home by some other golf cart so if any of you can help me PLEASE!!!!!!

It was working and i was driving it then it just shut off and when i turned it back on it would idle and wouldnt go anymore.... ![]() |

or it is idling with out pressing on the pedal? |

![]() when there is no pressure on the pedal, but if i push in the pedal it will rev but it wont go....

![]() First guess with only a little info to go by: you broke your throttle cable.
Is the engine actually running or just the starter/generator turning over? Your pedal switch will allow the starter/generator to turn over and make it sound as though the cart is running. Or, is the engine actually firing and the cart just not moving? If this is the case then you may have a clutch or drive belt problem. If you have too, get us a picture of the engine compartment so we can see if there is any damage anywhere. |
