Default FE 290 engine work in a 1987 club car

just wonder what kind of problems if any I will come across if I try to install a FE290 engine in a 1987 club car. will the starter/generator work, will the eninge bolt exactly where the flat head engine was or would I need to modify anything? surely this has been addressed before, I just want to make sure it will work

thank you for your info....
