Re: Power and or speed issues !994 EZGO 36v
This is a typical complaint for an electric cart..... improvements in torque and/or speed can be made. They are not cheap. $4-600 for a motor or controller.... depends upon what terrain or type of driving you wish to do? New batteries will continue to gain strength the first 10+ cycles if done properly.

FWIW I had the same complaint "AFTER" I did 4ga wires, Alltrax 4844 controller and 42v battery bank on my '92 Marathon. I then added a D and D 170-001-001 motor. No more complaint. The stock motor is 2 hp the D and D motor is 7.5. The D and D also increased speed 3 mph to 17 mph.

It is important to note that you could not have run that big motor without making the other upgrades to controller and cables also!

Try upgrading your battery cables to 4ga for a little more torque on hills.

You can do it in stages .... 1st... upgrade battery and motor cables to 4 ga. 2nd... up size the controller for more torque 3rd... motor (solenoid & F&R) for more speed & torque There is always the ever popular, voltage upgrade too |
