Default voltage differ from batterys to controller

I was putting on new cables and notice there is a 2 volt differ from checking the battery pack to checking at the solenoid and controller is this correct. PDS 2001

If the solenoid contacts are closed, the shouldn't be any difference whatsoever.

If the solenoid isn't activated and the 250 Ohm resistor is installed across the two big terminals on the solenoid like it is supposed to be, you will measure the battery pack voltage less the voltage drop across the resistor.

Re-read your post.

If there is a 2V drop between the voltage across the main terminals of the battery pack and from the negative terminal on the battery pack to the battery side terminal of the solenoid, you have got an bad cable and/or connections between battery pack and solenoid.

The only places you should see any voltage drops at all in the entire high current loop outside the battery pack is across the motor armature and between M- and B- on controller and the sum of these two voltage drops should equal the battery pack voltage.

Any voltage drop across any high current cable or high current connection, including those within the battery pack itself, means less performance from the cart.
