Mouse-proof wire?
I'm getting really tired of mice chewing my vehicle wires. This is the second time they've chewed my EZGO light wiring........and because of where the guy who built this cart placed the light, it's really hard to get to, to replace.
They've also chewed my car wires several times. Is there any way to prevent this? I use scented dryer sheets to keep the mice away from places I can get to........but the places I can't, the mice keep chewing. Any kind of special "anti-mouse" wiring?? Thanks. |

You can use Deer replent ( pepper spray) or eucalyptus oil cotton balls to hinder their sense of smell. They hate that and won't return until the smell goes away. Rat poison works best.

You can buy pee from various predators, such as wolf - it's true. Different animal pee repels different animals. This was suggested as a way to keep squirrels from chewing my rocking chairs. I replied that if the pee was stinky enough to repel a squirrel, I ain't gonna be able to use the rockers.
I bought squirrel repellant and sprayed the rockers, and it didn't phase them. I've heard the make cable with a covering for use in bird cages, for lights or heaters. |

Moth balls are cheap and pretty effective ,I picked up an old ferrill cat havn't seen a mouse since.

All good ideas. FYI newer wire coatings are vegetable based - yeah- who's bright idea was that!? Wife's Honda car was like a salad for the freakin rabbits... I paid about $(insert large # here) in wire harness replacement twice & we traded it.
The cat is prolly the best idea but, get a male and he pees on the chairs..... get a female and she gives you kittens every other month! |

We had a ground squirrel problem a couple of years ago, bought a a live trap from Harbor freight, cought 19 of those little monsters that summer. We still get a couple a year, but not really a problem any more
No mice problems |
