Checked it over again and I did have the two small control wires on the solenoid crossed. Changed the big wires back to the schematic that was sent with the kit. Then I realized I was not sending 36 volts to the key switch. I had it on one battery so only 6 volts. Corrected that and my led is steady green now!!! Cart still want go. Solenoid not clicking in.

Just wanted to say thank for helping me work through this. For others to learn I did not have 36 volts going to key switch. Fixed that and now have a steady green light on controller. Problem now is soon as I switch the cart on it blows the fuse going to foot controller. Got to this as I’m not getting voltage to controller from throttle J5 or out Blk-Sol. I have 36+ volts going from key switch to fuse holder. I read your precautions on the pedal and feel good as I did not pull on wires and they are not crimped. I have the black from the pedal on the negative battery bank terminal. I have the blue from pedal on the positive side of solenoid on small terminal and Blk-Sol going to the small terminal on the solenoid, same side as big cable going to controller B+. How do I test the pedal?

For anybody following this we have moved to email for faster communications and picture exchange. Customer has a 2004 TXT and has bought a solid state conversion kit which is designed for an old resistor coil cart.
I don't know why yet - but we are working it out.

Sounds to me like he blew the solenoid driver in the controller when he connected the diode backwards. But I'm waiting for the picture.

It could be because right now the pedal fuse is blowing each time it triggers the solenoid coil. But I'm waiting on some pictures so I can see what is and is not in this cart... whole thing kinda caught me off guard. Never heard of anybody butting this kit in a TXT. But honestly the initial pedal tests were done in the TXT. I mounted the pedal next to the original and wired it in. My wife hated that cart - she cursed it every time she go in it.

First I want to thank Scotty for helping through this. Second I did have two wiring issues and in a hurry looked over both multiple times. 1st I had on 12 volts going to the key switch, once I corrected this the error went away and I got the solid green. Next my solenoid would not click in. Ended up being I had the diode installed reverse polarity. I did have random no go forward but that went away after cycling the F/R switch 15-20 times. It was for some reason not making good contact. Working on the motor break in period now and it’s running great. Hope others learn from my mistakes. Thanks Scotty! I will be placing another order soon.
