The TXT heat sink mount is located pretty high and dry. If you are seeing some splashing from underneath or behind add some shielding while not blocking normal air flow.
I have just asked Alltrax support how water resistant (proof) the XCT controller is - I will post their response below. The units with the 23pin amp seal connector (g19/OEM/1268/66/64) are the most resistant, because that is a waterproof plug. The other models you would want to hit all the connections with petroleum jelly (or something of the sort) to make sure you can’t get any water seeping into the plugs and causing an issue. Excluding the connections though, all the internal components are fully coated in epoxy so if water got inside the housing it won’t matter. |
