Default Best way to change coil-over shock spring color?

Hello all - I have a Yamaha G29 with 6" jake's A-Arm lift kit that I installed.

I would like to possibly change the color of the coils on the front shock assembly.

I spoke with a local shop about powder coating my current coils and they charge $75 each for this size. Seems like a reasonable price, BUT they said it will take between 2 and 3 weeks. I use my cart almost daily (for fun) and don't really want the cart to be out of commission for that long.

I spoke to Jake's and they will only sell a new complete shock assembly (I think I wrote down $313.39 each.)

Main question:
Can I buy a colored spring elsewhere and just swap? If so how?

Where would someone find the specs of that coil/dimensions? Or pull off and take to auto parts place?

Any ideas/thoughts appreciated. (The Jake's tech. guy says people do this all the time....powdercoating that is..)

Thanks

A ride on a trail with puddles or a little mud will change the color, no downtime and free.

I would just take them off and paint them with Krylon or Rustoleum spray paint. I've done it before on atv's with good results.

I painted mine with Plasti Dip and they have held up great, my cart lives on the beach so it is in harsh conditions too. I painted probably 10 coats but it stretches like the springs do so it doesn't peel.
