Default 1980 G1 Carburetor adjustment

Hi All

I have been working on my G1 replacing the engine mounts and BBQing the muffler. I had it jacked up today and while at half throttle I tried to adjust the carburetor. I screwed the mixture screw all the way in and there was no change in the motor. I then took it all the way out and still no change. Can some help me with adjusting this or does it sound like something else since there's no change with the air mixture screw? thanks for all your help.

Pull the pilot adjusting screw out and look to see if there is a "flat" spot at the end. It should be smooth and pointed. If not replace it. Turn in till "lightly seated" then 1 1/2 turns out. Thats the stock setting.
