Default Winter storage Battery charging

I will be putting my cart up for the winter soon. It will be in the pole barn and Michigan winters get cold.I just install new battery's. should I leave the charger plug in? I not sure if charger comes back on after it charges & turns off 1 time?

Caution* if you have power interuption for more than something like 5 or 7 days, then you'll need to physically unplug and replug the receptable back in before it automatically charges again.
