New Batteries = Slow Cart
I have a 2007 Club Car DS Elec and just installed new Trojan batteries last fall. Over the winter I didn't use the cart much but rode it when I could and after each time charged it. According to Trojan website it takes 12 or so charges to get to 100%. Well my cart still acts the same way it did initially last fall and it has a good burst of speed for the first 20 feet then, boom, slows down to a very slow (fast walk) speed. I can't get it to go any faster than that till I charge it again. Please help. What does it need or am I not doing right?

Re: New Batteries = Slow Cart
Sounds like you have a problem. Either batteries not installed correctly or charger not working? Charger not connected correctly? You will need a digital voltmeter to proceed with testing.

Re: New Batteries = Slow Cart
Sounds like a bad speed sensor to me. Drive the cart for that 20 feet until it slows down. Get off of it and try and push it by hand. With a normally functioning speed sensor the reverse buzzer will beep beep beep beep beep and the car will attempt to slow itself. If you don't get a beep and the car rolls easily you've got a bad sensor.

Re: New Batteries = Slow Cart
Sounds like a reasonable place to start. I'm sure I have the batteries connected properly and my cables are good. I didn't know where to go with the rest. I'll try this and hopefully takes care of it. Thanks to all who responded.
