Quote:
should the batteries self-discharge and voltage reduce below 2.08V per cell the charger will restart and perform a charge cycle to top up the voltage.

If the voltage does not drop below 2.08V per cell and there is no activity for 30 days without interruption to either AC or DC connections the charger will restart and perform a maintenance charge cycle. Each time a cycle is preformed the 30 day timer is reset
We are all aware of other chargers on the market with "maintenance" mode, but as I stated on the very first sentence on this thread, that is not the intended audience.

I will just mention that the OEM OBC/Powerdrive charger without any changes works better than what you described....

2.08v per cell is 80% SOC, it would take a regular pack under the worst conditions (very hot temperature) over 4 weeks to self-discharge that much.

The OBC will recycle the charger every 15 days which is plenty for storage.

If You need 24/7 stand-by power from your pack, you really need a "float" charger like the DPI, but again, this thread is not intended to offer a replacement for that.

Just an update as I had a chance to use the remote feature for the first time already.

Friday before I left work I cycled the charger using the phone app, when I took the cart out that night the pack was at 52v, still resting from a fresh charge.

Success! I now have a remote "activatable" charger.

Thanks Sergio,

I am glad it worked for your charger also, I used mine again this past Friday before I left work, the cart drives really good fresh off a charge.

For anyone else that has the same model charger You have, did You interrupt both Terminal #6 (white) and Terminal #16 (black)?

Sergio

In order to use your exact set up as described , do you have to have a wifi set up at the place the car will be stored?

In other words, if i have the cart parked in a remote storage , that only has 1 ac receptacle, and no wifi set up or signal, can i still activate the charger from the phone?

Those wifi plugs need internet access for you to be able to control from a remote location.

You can always just use a plain "weekly" timer setup to come on for 1 minute once a week.
