Default Torque Increase - 1995 36V Club Car

Looking for recommendations on how to increase torque on a 1995 Club Car it is a 36V w/ V-Glide system/coils.

While speed increase is nice to have it is secondary.

Thanks

Best bet is to convert to a solid state drive system and 48V if/when it's time for new batteries. Providing your stock 36V series motor with 48V will result in a 33% increase in HP and torque.

Check with ScottyB at www.cartsunlimited.net and browse his conversion kit section for you Series CC.

Running the stock motor on 48v will give the biggest bang for the buck. 6/8v batteries drop right in the original rack and DPI makes a 48v charger with the crowfoot plug to fit your cart.
Conversion to solid state speed control (36-48v) is needed. Use a 500 amp controller so you can run an Admiral A1 motor later

Wow, Scotty....am I to understand that I can simply replace my 6-6 volt batteries with 8 volt without replacing anything except the charger. Mine is an 03 TXT series, no run/tow switch. Just used for golf but really want more torque for the hills.

Not with the stock components, no.
The controller and solenoid MUST be rated for 36 - 48 volts. Like the new Alltrax SR and XCT controls.
