Re: Crown vs Trojan. Batteries
Crown makes a good battery. I sell the CR165s and the CR190s often.

CR190 is a solid battery IMO.

Re: Crown vs Trojan. Batteries
Over 17 yeas i've had very good experiences with Trojan. One of my 2 carts has Crown CR190's in it now. They are 3 years old last month. No issues.
A couple of things: Your battery capacity is down about 15-20% right now just because of the weather. Most of it will return when the weather warms up. Winter in Ga. is a tricky time of the year to judge the health of your batteries. I believe I swapped a perfectly good set of batteries one year based on a knee jerk reaction to a perceived loss of range not realizing it just because of the weather. The Crown CR165 us a 165AH battery and the T875 is a 170AH battery. Not much difference but I'm guessing you might notice. They should cost less because of the smaller capacity. Not worth it IMO but if range per charge is not a factor, then maybe. The CR190 is comparable to the T890. At the time I bought the CR190s they were $7 each more than the T875s so definitely worth it. You've been happy with the Trojans. Might be a good idea to stick with what works for you. |

Re: Crown vs Trojan. Batteries
Thanks for the insight on the cold weather effect on batteries. Was not aware performance dropped that much! Was about to make the same knee jerk reaction!
