EZ-Go charger fault code
Thanks for reading. This is my first post after a few weeks of lurking.
I have a small ez-go charger with the flashing light indicator. Whenever I use it it goes to the fault code (flashing red). It does have some flashes of green for a short period before flashing the red fault code. Does not seem to be charging at all. Regular larger powerwise charger with meter works fine. I have 2 of the smaller chargers and they both do the same thing. I have tried more than one cart with the same results. All my carts are 2005 pds 36v ez-go's. Any suggestion? Is there a chance my batteries are (were) too low for the compact charger? The powerwise charger started around 20amps and took 12-14 hours to shut off. These carts are new to me and they all have 2005 batteries. Good water levels, new battery cables and in very good overall condition. Thanks again for any help. I tried a search and got an error code. |

Re: EZ-Go charger fault code
you need to count the 'flashes' in the fault code and report that

Re: EZ-Go charger fault code
sounds like you have the small QE chargers which are known to fail. IMO they are JUNK. Stick with teh bigger powerwise chargers. you will like them better, if they fail, you can rebuild them. the QE chargers are throw away chargers. if they quit you just toss them.

Re: EZ-Go charger fault code
If you live near a big city, they show up on Craigslist. They are pretty heavy, and shipping's gonna cost. You can also try the For Sale forum here, or eBay, but if you're gonna spring for a new one, cartsunlimited.com is where I got mine.
