86 Ez Go Bogging Down

I now have an 86 electric Ez Go that has a lift and larger tires.

The batteries are T-105s but I'm not sure how old they are.

This cart runs great on level ground and especially downhill, but it really bogs down once I am going up an incline. Is this more likely due to the batteries or should I start doing torque upgrades?

The guy I bought it from says that he has had the cart 3 yrs and has not replaced the batteries. The batteries sound like the more expensive route, but I guess that would be the safest.

thats where you start....find out the condition of the batteries.......test voltage load test them and take readings from each cell with a hydrometer......make sure cable ends are clean and tight and keep in mind an elec. cart is going to lose it going up inclines.......................
