Default EZGO Electric

I have a 36 volt EZGO, the batteries check out good, but when I go the cart runs good for only a few minutes then starts acting like the batteries are dieing. I put the meter on and still get 34 to 36 volts out of the main. Can anyone give me a clue as to what may be going on?

Thanks, Keith

34-36 volts is a dead pack. Maybe you have a bad battery or 2. Full charge should get your pack up to 38.2 volts or so. I'd check each battery independently and see if 1 or 2 of them vary greatly from the rest and replace them with some used batteries of approximately the same type and age. If they're all really low, probably time for a new set.

Thanks rocknrone

I have replaced the Cheap SAMs Club batteries with Trojans, the cart is now getting a full charge, hope this fixed the problem. I'll keep you posted. PS; I did load test the batteries and found two of the old ones to be under 2 volts!!! So, I am pretty confident that the batteries are the problem.

Thumbs up Re: EZGO Electric

Anytime a 36 volt cart is reading 37 volts are less the batteries are in need of charging or replacement depending on age of batteries. New batteries should never be drove below 70% charge which is 37.12volts.
