What kind of charger? Powerwise? QE? Total Charge?

36, 48 volt?

EIther way, the way I have my set up is a (for 36V) are 6 6V trojan batteries with the female receptacle on the bench, plug the charger into the wall and plug the D plug or Anderson plug into the port.

Plug it into the wall, listen to hear if it clicks. Get a volt meter, before pluggin it into the wall, put the ends into the D plug POS and NEG, then plug it in to see if it's putting out the proper voltage. Just be careful obviously and don't get shocked.

Edit: That's for the OLDER chargers with the timers that would open the circuit allowing the juice to flow.
