Quick easy cheap seat fix.
The threaded inserts pulled out the back of my seat. Here is a cheap fix. I put. Epoxy in the holes where the nuts were. Once it hardened I drill holes and inserted these threaded inserts. I had to make this installation tools as the brass was too soft to screw into the epoxy.
Just a nut and bolt then used the bolt to tightened down the insert. Good as new. Also the seat back was cracked. I uses the same epoxy with some fiber glass tape (yep sheet rock tape) to strenghten it. Came out great. Wiltz |
