Wiring for Micro switch in 1989 V-glide
Hey Guys...There is a micro switch in the v-glide on my 1989 club car. One wire goes to the solenoid WHERE DOES THE OTHER ONE GO....It came loose when I was mounting the v-glide back on and not sure where it came from. I looked at some of the diagrams on here but my eyes are not the good...Seems like the other one might go to the F/R switch but I can tell what terminal it goes to..(if it does in fact go to the F/R switch)...If it does go to the F/R switch which terminal and what other wire goes on that terminal..
Thanks for your help Bill |

Re: Wiring for Micro switch in 1989 V-glide
If I remember right.
The Vglide MS triggers the main solenoid. The power to the Vglide MS comes from the F&R MS. It is the one that is triggered in both F and R ... so the cart has to be in gear to send power to the Vglide MS. These Micro switches are just a series of safety devices. The idea is you have to really mean for the cart to go before it goes. Typically you have to have the key on to power the F&R MS, and the F&R MS powered & triggered to have the Vglide MS powered & ready to trigger the solenoid to close the power main circuit Hope this helps |

Re: Wiring for Micro switch in 1989 V-glide
so does this mean if the ms in the v-guide is bad the cart won't move? mine will go in reverse but not forward. I have replaced f&r switch and solenoid ,,, cart will only go in reverse. I have traced all wiring and it is all correct could problem be the ms in v-guide? it is 1989 club car

Re: Wiring for Micro switch in 1989 V-glide
HI Itchee,
Afraid not the cart uses the same F&R and V glide micro switches in forward and reverse. Does your solenoid not engage in reverse? Or it clicks just like forward? |
