I've been out of town and didn't have a chance to work on it before I left. I am hoping to get to it this week but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate.

Thanks,

Doug

So I've finally been able to attack this problem again with no new results.

I've replaced the mcor throttle, the controller and both solenoids. Still does the same thing.

When I bought the cart, the previous owner said it was a "security feature" but it sounded like a load of hooey. Now I'm starting to think it really is.

. . . hmmm . . . I wonder if it is a controller issue of sorts . . . toggling the tow/run might be resetting something there . . . wait for Tahoe to see this thread . . .

What about a faulty run/tow switch?

My money is the tow run switch, I have had on one do this before, the switch started to fall apart inside and with vibration it would lose connection, toggling it reset stuff. You could remove the wires from the switch and bypass it for a while to see if it has better results.

I tried bypassing the tow/run switch but still getting the same results. The only thing left is the OBC. It's the square 6-pin connector style.

If I was keeping this cart, I would live with it but I want to sell this cart and people won't want to buy it if it has this issue.

Thanks,

Doug

Just went thru the same problem with a 2000 Regen II,do you have anything on the cart that is key operated other then ignition on off ?? In my case we had a 48v solenoid key operated to power the voltage converter. Went thru everything mentioned here knowing full well that the solenoid couldn't cause the problem. Well disconnect it and the problem was gone, had to reduce the power avaliable to the activation circut..my 2 cents Dave

Now that you mention it, I took off the front panel with the key switch and saw there was a wire coming off of the key to a relay: presumably so that certain devices will only work with the key on. I haven't seen this on a cart before (at least not hooked up like this) so I'm going to disconnect it when I get home see what it's connected to and try it without it connected.

Thanks,

Doug
