Individually checked an one battery tested bad under load Test. Can I replace just the one battery? They are all old but Test at 6v under load individually. Bought this ezgo used. Only been used in Mobile home park.
Thanks

You might consider replacing it with a used battery that checks good if you can find one. I would not buy a new battery to replace it.

I just had to get 2 new batteries. They (and the other 4) were only 2 years old. I wasn't about to replace all the good ones, even though it's been said it's not a good idea.

I think you made the right decision knowing the history of the batteries.

The condition of the new batteries will soon become equal to the rest of the pack. This takes 4-12 months depending upon use and charge habits. That is why people often suggest a used battery of equal AH rating.

Putting a new battery or two into a pack of relatively new, reasonably good batteries, doesn't hurt the existing batteries, in fact it might even help them a bit. The thing to remember is that the new batteries soon become the same age as the existing batteries and when the existing batteries need to be replaced, the new ones will need to be replaced also.

If you are lucky enough to find a used battery about the same age (or younger) and about the same condition and AH as the existing batteries, it is cheaper than buying a new battery. However, if the used battery is in worse shape than the existing batteries, it will drag the existing batteries down to the level it is at.

The safest bet is to bite the bullet and replace a bad battery with a new one the same make and model as the existing batteries and when the existing batteries need to be replaced, start over with a completely new set of matched batteries.

An anology to gas operated vehicles to the electric golf cart: The gas tank is the batteries, the amount of gas in the tank is the batteries ability to respond to and hold a charge, the fuel line is interconnecting jumper and power wires, The carburetor is the controller, the transmission is the inductive throttle sensor input to the controller, the solenoid is the starter and the alternator is the external charger. The rest of the cart descriptions is about the same except the motor is electric, doesn't have a muffler so it won't backfire.

might not have a muffler - but it does have hydrogen
one spark and you get one 'heck' of a backfire!

Those are gas fumes from the gas tank.
