Default Total Charge III for 1993 ezgo

My full charger 111 for my 1993 textron is only putting out 2 amps when charging. I read it should be putting out 15 amps.Does anyone have any ideas why? Thanks

Never heard of a "full charger 111", please post picture of it.

However, most golf cart battery chargers are multistage and only put out max amps during the Bulk Charge phase and taper off to a lower amps during the Absorption and later stages, so 2A may or may not be normal.

Need to identify the specific charger you have to know for sure.

It is model number 26984 ezgo textron 120 volts 6 hz 1025aaz. I am very poor at doing almost anything over the internet. Sorry but it is a black steel box around 1 foot square,maybe more rectangler with a handle on top heavy and a round gauge in front.Hope this helps but goggling it I see there are full charger 111 on ebay but none look like mine. Sure hope someone can help me with the info I just gave. thanks

The full charger111, I have never goes over 2 amps at all. I read something about maybe needing a new diode for it. What ever that is.I am so much in the dark about all of this. I am so sorry about relaying info but I had a stroke and try to do the best I can. thanks

The name and model number doesn't come up with anything.
However, it has a round ammeter, no timer, shuts off automatically and made by EZGO Textron, so I'm guessing it is a ferroresonant Transformer type and they all operate about the same.

Only puts out 2A.

There will be a heatsink inside with two diodes on it. One or both may be bad.

Good word association.
Full = Total
Charger = Charge
111 = III

Knowing what it is, makes it easier to troubleshoot.
Here is a schematic and the manual.
