If you know your tire diameter (Measured - the size printed on tires is approximate at best) and your max speed, I can tell you what the motor RPM is at that speed. Then you can estimate what it will increase to when(if) you go to 48V.

You most likely won't reach that number since there are some other factors involved, but it will be close.
I've been 48 volts for a year now!

I asked a reputable source about the GE 6.1hp , it could be exceeding 7k rpm @ 48v, but can survive at that speed+. No stupid stuff, like "lets see how fast i can go down this huge hill".....

What's wrong with that? I do it all the time. Gotta get my money's worth. My gas or brake pedals are always smashed to the floor.

An AMD and GE motor are the same, and are rated for 36 and 48 volts.

I've got the blown motor and controller to prove that is a bad idea.

Your signature box says you have 22" tires. If they are actually that diameter, (which they probably aren't) you won't exceed 7000 RPM below 36.8 MPH with 12.44:1 differential gears.
