Deluxe light kit blinkers opposite
I installed a deluxe light kit whereby the light switch and turn signals are on the turn signal lever. Everything works, including the brake lights. However, the turn signals are opposite each other (both front and rear turn signals). Pressing the lever down should signal left, but is right and visa versa.
All cables were plug and play. Where might have I gone wrong? Perplexed and a little annoyed. Smackdaddy66 |

Can you rotate the turn signal lever?

I like the way you think! I could rotate it to the right side of the steering wheel 180 degrees. The lettering and labeling would be upside down however.

Really don't see that making a difference. with switch on the left side you would lift to turn on right signal (which turns on left currently if I read it right) With switch on right, you would pull down on switch to turn on right signal which is still basically lifting if on the left side. Same problem.

CartTrader is right, it wouldn't make a difference, and would actually be more awkward since we are used to it being on the left...

Re: Deluxe light kit blinkers opposite
I would suggest rewiring the switches in the column lever. You run the risk of damaging the pins in the harness if you don't have a pin extraction tool.

Could it be as simple as you having the left side of the wiring harness on the right side of the cart?

Re: Deluxe light kit blinkers opposite
Crash is probably correct
Who ever installed the lights put the wires in the wrong place They put the left on the right and the right on the left It Happens Swap them around and you'll be just fine Dale |
