Ez go serial number gone
So I'm looking at an ezgo project car and it's missing the serial number plaque on the passenger dash box. It has the 4 holes where I'm assuming it was riveted to but,,,, it's not there. Now I'm trying I figure out what year and exactly it is any ideas of where to look, or what to look for

Look at the rear of the cart. I have a 2006 and the SN was located on the Frame rail running above the motor on the face towards the batteries. SO standing at the side of the cart, lift up the seat and look to the rear. it was stamped into my frame but very hard to see towards bottom of rail closer to passenger side.

I also found dates on my motor and differential, but those may be a year older than the buggy.

I don't know if it matters to you but mine was the same way and I think the tag was pulled off by the insurance company that had dealt with the total loss on it. Mine is a 06 that was three months old when I bought it in 06 some kids had rolled it into the pond at the Country club about 45 miles from me and I bought it through the salvage sale that I normally but my wrecks from.[I ended up with about $1500 in it in 06

In the automotive world that may be like a salvage title. Dunno if you want to street legal it, but it may affect that.

2002-2003 or so is when EZ stopped putting the plate in the glovebox so may not have been there. If you look at the base of the steering column count the bolts. 4 means 01 or newer. 3 could be anything because they are used on the newer ST carts. If it is older there may be a number stamped on the frame above the right rear tire.

Looks like 94-96 cart. Check on top of frame rail above the right rear tire.

95 to 2001.5 were 3 bolt steering column, 02 and up were 4 bolt

Rib, some of the ST carts still use the old 3 bolt style steering for much later. Not sure when the were stopped but can't count that out.
