1996 g14----300 or 301cc ???
I am a little confused on the size motor in my cart . I am going to rebuild it and have been looking on different sites for rings and such . Some list it as a 300 and some list it as a 301 for my year and others just list for the year no size. I know in 1995 and 1996 there was a 300. I have read on here that somewhere on the block there is a marking with JN5 on it which would determine what it is . I have looked on mine but can't see any markings. Is it under one of the shrouds ? One other thing is there a difference in the bore for the two sizes as for getting standard size rings ? I would think so . I reworked the head with new valves ,springs, etc. I ordered the parts for a 96 g14 but the rings and bearings might be size specific . Gaskets might be the same for both tho.
