2011 Club Car Precedent Go/accelerator Pedal Issue
Hi all,
My first post here. I didn't know where to turn to. Just got an used 2011 Club Car Precedent. Cart was working fine for a day after I got it. Since it was dirty, I decided to power wash the cart. After washing was complete, cart just would not move when accelerator pedal is fully pressed. After some trouble shooting with batteries and charging...all was well. I was getting pretty frustrated and then cart start moving again when I've pressed the pedal for about a inch...When it is fully pressed...the motor just stops. I can hear clicks from the pedal when pressed and depressed. Any help will be much appreciated! |

Another thing that I've noticed was that the pedal activates the motor while the pedal is being depressed....Press in slow until the floor...does nothing...slowly depress the pedal then it activates the motor and carts start to move little past half way up.

Water and electricity don't mix. I feel you have water in a lot of electric switches. Not good. Hope you can get everything dry before it rust and ruins your cart. BE SURE TO PUT CART IN TOW BEFORE WORKING ON ELECTRIC. then unhook neg then pos main battery post.

It sounds to me like the batteries are dead. Have you checked the battery voltage?

Re: 2011 Club Car Precedent Go/accelerator Pedal Issue
Thanks, Mr. Golf. :-) Lesson learned!
Dawg, My Batteries are fine. I can drive the car...just not with pedal pressed down to the floor. Well...I had a feeling that it would do this...After I came home from work... Magically...the cart is functioning normal again...It has been getting better progressively...I guess all water is dried out! Thank, God! For what its worth...thank you guys! |

You can expect some parts to fail in the future. The water may have dried out but corrosion will follow. Hope it does not happen but be prepared.
