Electrical Charge
I own a 2009 EZGO RXV 48-volt golf cart that has been driven little, but well maintained. When the voltage meter drops to about 1/2 charge after being driven a short distance from a full charge, the meter will rapidly drop to near zero and the cart will loose power. By turning the ignition off for a few minutes and then back on, the meter returns to or near the 1/2 charge level and the cart proceeds as normal. But after a short distance, the above issue returns. Using a voltage meter, the batteries all appear normal, but each are the original batteries. Has anyone experienced this same issue?

Re: Electrical Charge
Please explain "appear normal" what is your overall pack voltage and what is the voltage per battery?
Consider 48.4 volts 50 % SOC which is considered in serious need of charge and 50.9 volts 100 % SOC What is the water level in the cells too? |

Re: Electrical Charge
All batteries water levels are about a 1/4 inch above the plates and have been maintained at that level. Normal was defined as operation without loss of power or drastic drop in voltage displayed on the meter. Have reposted in the EZGO electic section as suggested. New to the forum and just not familiar with how to access the proper post sections. Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Electrical Charge
You need to get a multi meter out and measure your pack voltage and individual
Batts as well ... Never trust the battery gauge if it is stock .. They are legend for inaccurate readings : |
