Water spray from front wheel behind dash?
Just finished installing my Elite Dash. Haven't got the radio or speakers installed yet, but here are a couple of pics on what I have so far.
Now, there is a good sized opening behind the dash which use to be covered by the piece of plastic that went over the steering column. That piece had to be removed to install the dash. I am worried that the front wheel will spray water onto the radio. I find it ironic that the manufacturer of this dash, which is designed for a radio, would require removal of that piece to leave an opening with no solution! Anyone else with experience with the Elite dash found that to be a problem? Should I be worried about water spray, or will it be fine (I have a marine radio and speakers)? If so, what have others done to cover the opening? I'm thinking about taking a saw to the old dash and removing the steering column cover and using that. |
