Default Installing a back seat - me vs the shop

Hi all,

Every shop I talk with quotes me about $500 installed for a back seat on an Ezgo.

They seem to sell on Amazon for about $350. I'm sure I could muddle my way through, after buying a few tools and spending an afternoon.

For those that have done it, is the $500 a fair quote? Is $350 about what I should expect if I buy it myself?

$100 install is just about a no brainer. Above that I start to consider my options.

Thanks!

It's an easy install, not worth paying some one $150 for. I think I paid $260 for my rear seat and took about 1.5 hours to install. Diygolfcart.com is where I got mine from.

Put on more rear seats than I can remember... There are as many levels of quality and fit as there are manufactures when it comes to rear seats I learned I never want the cheapest one.

A lot of guys on here would rather pull their own teeth than to pay someone to do something they could do or at least try to do. That being said, that may not be your idea of fun. Its not our place to judge. If you would rather pay someone, by all means go ahead. There are a lot of guys on here that do that type of work. Probably some near you. If you want to tackle it yourself, with the help of some of the guys here, you are in the right place. Check the site sponsors. They can be trusted. Wait for some of the guys to let you know what they bought and like and then either get it installed or roll up your sleeves.

I installed my flip rear seat and the instructions were absolutely terrible. The bolts sizes did not match to anything in the instructions.

All that said...I would still install it myself again.

This actually has nothing to do with your question, but I am wondering what the heck is that 'doodlebug' in your avatar? inquiring minds want to know.

If you have to even ask about the install then you should pay someone else to do it.
