RXV will not move unless wheels off the ground.
First time Poster! My 2009 RXV went from running fine one day to not being able to move the next. The batteries are fine so that is not the problem. With the cart on the ground it does not move. With it on on jack stands the wheels will move slowly but not as fast as the motor is turning. I pulled wheel and hub off and the hub splines are not stripped. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Explain how the batteries are fine please, how old? bank voltage before a load? after a charge?

Can you expand on this statement? If we go by what you just said you have problems in the gears themselves (highly unlikely) or a stripped motor to gear spline (highly likely)...

Re: RXV will not move unless wheels off the ground.
i am not a battery guy so I can not tell you specifics but I had a friend who deals with UPS machines test the two year old batteries and he said they tested like brand new. As far as expanding on the statement it ran perfectly fine one day and I pulled it into shop, put it on charger, and next day it wouldn't move. You can hear the motor turning fine but the wheels would not move. Jacked it up and the wheels moved slowly and it made a slight abnormal sound as it turned and u could take your hand and stop the wheel and motor would still turn. Wheels will not spin as fast as the motor was turning. I hope this makes sense.

Do you have a volt meter to tell us the battery bank voltage?

If this is indeed the case then I repeat my comments that you have problems in the gears themselves (highly unlikely) or a stripped motor to gear spline (highly likely)...

What's the best way to test the motor to gear spline?

When you stop the wheel is the hub nut still spinning ? If so, stripped hub(s)

I have pulled the hub. They are not stripped. U can take the shaft the hub sits on and turn it back and forth with some force and it moves where it should be locked.

Re: RXV will not move unless wheels off the ground.
Well, since the Rxv is held stationary when parked by the mechanical motor brake, if the motor splines were stripped, you should be able to push the parked Rxv and demonstrate spline slipping with horrible sounds. I would be pulling the motor next...
