Re: EZGO TXT 36V accelerator not working
Just to follow up... last night i re-examined the switch and found where one of the post had heated up enough that the post was loose and small area on a cable had burned. So my problem was a new switch purchased in March that appears to have gone bad. Replacing rocker switch with reverse contactor and hope this will last a little longer.

Re: EZGO TXT 36V accelerator not working
There's nothing wrong with a ScottyB HD FNR. Many folks are using them, without any problems. You can see in my sig, what I've been using for years. There's also nothing wrong with a reversing contactor, and many like the convenience of a rocker switch.
Non-ScottyB HD FNRs are NOT as Heavy Duty, and a loose cam nut will fry anyone's FNR. So will one loose cable nut. I'm "under the hood" doing battery maintenance monthly, so it's not a problem to check cable terminals on ALL high amperage connections. That includes batteries, FNR, controller, and motor. You can fry a reversing contactor setup by a loose cable connection. Loose = resistance. Resistance = heat. I^2R. |
