Replace the PDS controller with the XCT400 control and SW180 solenoid.

Thanks ---- for a guy that draws house plans, and has some mechanical experience, but not a lot, is it complicated to switch it over, and do you ship to Canada? ----- thanks for the reply

I guess I'm more worried about the wiring harness and matching everything up

If you order the XCT 48400 for a PDS cart, it will pretty much be plug and play. Only thing you will have to change is the terminal ends on the F1 & F2 wires, which are provided. All you need is a crimper for small terminals.

I finally checked the pins in the J1 connector these are the readings. Pin 2 switch in N .3v
Pin 2 switch in R 37v
Pin 3 switch in N 36v
Pin 3 switch in F 36v
Pin 9 switch in F 36v
Pin 8 switch in R 36v
Pin 8 switch in F. 17.5v with buzzer going
Pin 7 36v
Pin 6 36v
Pin 10 switch in N the meter jumps all over
Pin 10 switch in R the meter jumps all over
Everything except the buzzer is new even the F/R switch-- not sure what
to check next --- an Alltrax controller is going to cost about 800.00 so I'm
hoping there is something else to try first --- it's hard to think a brand new controller and a rebuilt one would have the same problem---thanks for any advise anybody can give me

How about measuring the voltage on J1-2 when in forward? (The voltage on pin 10 is the reverse beeper voltage).

Pin-3 shouldn't have 36V on it in Neutral. The 36V comes out of the controller and goes to the F/R rocker switch, which connects it to the wire going to Pin-3 in Forward OR Pin-2 in Reverse. In Neutral, neither of the wires going back to the controller ought to have 36V on it. Apparently there is something wrong with the F/R switch or the wiring since the odds of two controllers have the same failure is pretty high and it is not a common failure, so the odds are astronomical.

Fixing that problem may solve the other problems I highlighted in red.
