only showing 93% throttle
I finally got my cart (95 Medalist) upstate and took a ride with the new motor. I hooked up the lap top to get some monitor files and for some reason, going down hill I would see 100% throttle, but going up hill, it would only show 93% throttle. I saved each run on a flash drive, I just need my brother to upload it for me. Any ideas as to how or why this would happen?

Re: only showing 93% throttle
Did you clear the auto cal in the toolkit program? That resets the throttle and re-learns it.

Re: only showing 93% throttle
Is this something that is always necessary to do once you install a new aftermarket motor?

Re: only showing 93% throttle
I wouldn't think so. Did it go to 100% before?

Re: only showing 93% throttle
Yes, always had 100% throttle before. I just got off the phone with Will from Alltrax and he said he has never seen the throttle percentage be different from up hill to down hill. He thinks there might be water in the throttle causing a problem when going up hill. Once I get upstate this weekend, I will blow out the the throttle and try again. It did rain on my way up and the cart wasn't covered. It's been in my barn since last Saturday under a cover, so maybe it dried out on it's own.

Re: only showing 93% throttle
If you cleared auto-cal and drove while there was water in the throttle box, you may need to do it again when it's dry.
Just a thought. |

Re: only showing 93% throttle
I'm unsure how it auto-cals, but I'd think you'd want to go from 0% to 100% a few times.

Re: only showing 93% throttle
My brother just emailed me the up and down runs from last weekend. Maybe somebody can take a look and see if something is wrong. Obviously, up is the uphill run and down is downhill.
