Default Intermittent barely moving

Just took family for a ride and I was going back and forth over a few areas in the yard and cart suddenly started to crawl. Cycled key switch waiting for a while in between but it would still do it intermittently but that would fix it for a minute but if I put it from forward to reverse it would crawl again. Batteries still had decent charge. What could’ve happened??

Put controller into diagnostic mode and listen for the beeped error code(s).

Text at bottom of attached PDS label tells you how.

-----------
If this is the cart in you signature block, I suspect the controller is giving up the ghost due to 22" tires and a rear seat.

If so, put an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS (or larger) in it.

Thank you! I’m going to try diagnostics in the morning after it’s done charging. If I have no reverse buzzer will it still beep?

Well then I have a problem.

On my 2005 is the buzzer located inside the dash next to the F N R switch?

I'm wondering if: yesterday we went on a long ride with all of us probably 500lbs total at a distance of 8.5 miles. Then when I got back in the yard I was trying to run over some of the ruts left by my truck after our heavy rains recently. I wonder if it was hot and then it didn't care for the back and forth over some of the ruts.

Would the controller being hot have possibly caused this?

Heavy load + Oversized tires = Overheated controller

Yes, beeper is close to F/R switch panel. Attached to driver side of passenger glove-box.

Thermal Cutback is error code 2-3 and results in reduced performance.

Any chance there is wiring diagram showing how it should be hooked up assuming the beeper is still there?

Does the controller store the last error code like a car or truck computer does?

Here you go on the diagram.

No, the error codes are self canceling and only exist while the error exists.

So I would have to grab the code right after the issue happens or its gone.

If I pull the F N R switch would I be able to see if the buzzer is still there? Or what is the best way to visualize it?

If I need to i'll order another one and then if this pops up again i'll grab the codes quick.

Probably just has a wire disconnected.

You can see it from the front under the cowling and might be able to reconnect the wire. If not, remove the switch panel and it is attached to the side of the glove box.

Drive cart while controller is in diagnostic mode and the when the cart misbehaves, listen for the beeps. The sequence of beeps repeats as long as the error exists.

BTW: Putting the Run/Tow switch in Tow takes controller out of diagnostic mode.
