Default Missing Diode?

Hello, I have a 2006 EZGO TXT that I am changing to 48V. I currently have an XCT48500PDS with a MZJ-400A. I don't have a MR754 Diode between the yellow and blue wire. Is it required when changing to 48V?

Thank you,
