Default Pressure washed my 1997 club car 36volt now not working :(

The backup alarm comes on in reverse and the batteries are fully charged but after I pressure washed it yesterday it doesn’t move. Can anyone help me out? I know very little about this golf cart but it was running fine before I pressure washed it. I did try to be careful when I sprayed the batteries and under the seat but I guess that was a mistake?

First thing I would do is let everything dry out for a few days and see if it fixes the problem. Electronics do weird things when wet but can turn out fine once dry.

Probably knocked something loose from the pressure.

I often pressure wash my batteries and have never had a problem. I'm careful to just do the battery tops and not spend too much time near the OBC area. I also give it time in the sun to dry out before I try to move it again.

I am not a huge fan of pressure washing, especially around electronics.
As for the battery's I mix about 1/4 cup of baking soda in a quart of water and go after them with a cheap china bristle brush. Do the battery's top, sides, and get the battery box where you can brush. After sitting for a couple minutes just give a light but thorough rinsing under low water pressure. That keeps my 7 year old battery's looking like new.
And so far I haven't fried any electronics.

If the key just spins it could well be the starter. The key should only move no more than 90 degrees. Seeing that you can get to the back hold the back of the switch while you turn the key. If it still spins, it sound like you need a new switch.

Hopefully the key switch is the root cause of your failure. You could jumper the wires and bypass the key switch to test to see if your cart will run.

Key switches can be fussy sometimes ... your appears to have failed as yawood pointed out, since it just "spins".

I was having a problem with my key switch recently too ... so I removed it from the cart and gave it a good cleaning with electrical contact cleaner ... had lots of debris and corrosion (?) come out ... keep spraying cleaner into it and tapping it on the work bench until the spray out was clean again. Any more problems and I will probably replace mine as well.

Let us know if an new or bypassed (jumpered) key switch gets your cart working again.
