Default charging question

Hi everyone,

I recently replaced the stock voltage meter with digital meter as shown in picture. How would I know when the charge is too low and I need to charge the batteries since there are no low charge indicators/lines like red yellow etc.

The general concensus is to charge the cart every day after you are done using it even if you only took a short trip. The attached image gives state of charge for specified voltages.

FLA batteries. I guess my question is how will I know on a golf course the state of discharge with the readout so I dont keep driving and know when to charge them before they run too low.

Basic rule of thumb for FLAs.

36V cart = do not go below 36V.
48V cart = do not go below 48V.

I keep the attached State of Charge chart as a favorite photo on my phone for quick reference.

Note the voltage should be stabilized for an accurate determination of the State of Charge. This takes 12 to 24 hours after charging (with the charger disconnected and no use). After you have been using your cart and the battery pack has started to draw down, it can take 5 to 15 minutes to get a stabilized voltage reading (depends on how hard you have been drawing down the batteries ... i.e. puttering along at 25 amps drawn or pedal to the metal driving at 200 amp +.
