Default 8v batteries

I am about to replace 6 8v batteries in my 2003 ezgo. I wanted to know if anyone has any info on the Crown CR190. Are they worth getting instead of the Trojan T875 because of the higher amps? I just don't want to make a $900.00 mistake. Thanks

I have CR190s in my TXT. They were 6.5 years old in Aug. Currently they power the cart just fine but the range is down ( though still more than 10 miles ) and they are on their way out. I know this because the charger (Lester Summit 2) is reporting that it can't bring them up to the target voltage (about 65v) during every charge cycle. The charger is trying valiantly to coax more life out of them with frequent equalizing charges but its a losing battle. I define battery end of life as when they will no longer take me where I want to go without range anxiety. Not there yet but my experience tells me its just a matter of time and not much of that left.
I'm the only owner of this cart and the batteries. They have been meticulously maintained.
The higher capacity of these batteries is most certainly a factor in their longevity as I'm only getting 4-4.5 years of life out of Trojan 875s in another cart under the same conditions. Not exactly a fair comparison as the other cart is used more per month so more charge cycles per month.
I'm not a typical cart owner as these carts are used in place of autos. Also not a statistically valid sample.
At least one of the local independent cart shops who I respect thinks they are junk. He means the brand in general, not the 190s specifically. YMMV

Jonnie B posted a battery comparison chart if you search.

I got 4 years out of last set of Trojans but not being original owner not good comparison.

Replaced with US batteries with better specs and slightly less price compared to Trojans.

I know folks at campground who have 5 years on crowns and still going strong.
This is campground use, not year round use.
Most cart owners around here use either crowns or US batteries ( aside from those that budget shop but also replace batteries every other year) Almost no one uses Trojan due to cost😊

Cost is a variable thing. The guys who go "cheap as possible" around here usually get real pissy when I have to tell them that their batteries are done in 24-30 months. (Failed the test) & bad range was the complaint. Like I can "magically make it better". Realistically, in the heat around here, and usage characteristics (golf all the time & drive to & from the course), a set of good 6x 8v is 4-5 years, and 8x 6v is 5-6 years. There are cases where it's less, and cases where its more. Think that's crazy? Well, golf every day & you'll wear them out too. I'm sure the heat doesnt help either. They get used every day. Anyone who says "oh no" come do it here. I'm not a battery salesman, and we dont make much on a "battery job". (Everyone thinks the dealer is the "battery bandits", that's not real), we just do a decent job & dont 'eff up your cart while doing it. ("The battery guy" messes up so much stuff, it isnt even funny anymore). Those stories are too long to even list.
