Default Slop in mE29 tranaxle assembly

I have a 2008 gas ezgo with a mE29 tranaxle that jerks hard every time I shift from forward to reverse or reverse to forward. There is about 1/4 turn play in the tranaxle . I have no idea how much play there is supposed to be .

When you say there is play, where are you seeing the play?

That's not good. Is the driven clutch mounted securely on the input shaft? Could be a stripped input shaft.

Not sure but I think it is . It seem to be inside the rear end. Would like to find another me-29 tranaxle then rebuild this one.but can't find one anywhere.
