07 ezgo non pds wiring

I have a 2007 ezgo 36v non pds that i am having what appears to be a wiring issue. It was brought to me with a new contoller, new motor, new solenoid, and new f/r switch not running. I first pushed the pedal and didn't hear a click coming from the microswitch beside the its so i pulled up the floor mat and discovered the microswitch is bad. I replaced it and now im having issues with wires arcing. The cart has no key switch so i'm just jumping the blue and green wires together to test but the wires continue to arc at the key switch and at red wire from the reed switch that plugs into the forward/reverse. why is that and what should i be checking because all wire appear to be hooked up correctly according to the wiring diagram. Is it possibly an issue with the wiring on the solenoid of the diode/resistor on the solenoid? Thank you in advance

alright so i removed the diode on the small posts of the solenoid and it is not arcing anymore but still no solenoid click when the pedal is depressed. does anyone know where to go? all the microswitches seem to be good
