V-glide jerkyness question
So I had to go into the v-glide housing on my 99 DS to replace the micro switch that went bad and caused a complete travel loss. I’ve got a high torque motor and SR48600 controller and it’s always irked me that its got a jerky initial take off if I’m trying to feather the throttle or creep slowly. I actually started an MCOR conversion thread about it but anyway...
While I was in the housing to replace the switch, I noticed with the throttle pedal in the full released (up) position, the swiper is resting in between the first and second buss block, or whatever they’re called. Then I noticed the wiper is in between the second and third buss block when the micro switch opens to send power to activate the controller. Im wondering if the throttle would be smoother at a slow take off if the switch opened at the first block? Why would the switch be mounted in a non-adjustable position to not open until the wiper is nearly over the third bar? |
