Re: 2004 PDS losing power
Has this person built many other carts? I don't know if I've ever seen a 4:1 gear set?

Re: 2004 PDS losing power
He actually does and this unit was his he built for himself. It might not have been a 4:1 ratio, but something like that.

Re: 2004 PDS losing power
He would have been much smarter to add a controller / wires / solenoid to the cart and not waste the $$$ on gears...
Anyone else want to chime in here? Info - I do things a little different. I say lets spend the money on what you really NEED first, not what you want! Get the basics done right the first time, then you won't be back tracking and re-buying things later. Not saying you did this, just saying you may not have been properly informed before your purchase. |

Re: 2004 PDS losing power
Did it ever do what you say you want it to do? It sounds like you are simply asking it to do something it is not likely to be able to do. Speed-Climb steep hills with speed gearing, big tires and chip with 4 passengers is a tough order.

Re: 2004 PDS losing power
It will sometimes climg hills. I am not talking large verticle hills, sometime it will not even go over a small bump. That is why I was asking if the motor needs replaced also or if the controller, cylonioid and cable will do the trick...

Re: 2004 PDS losing power
Not to highjack (much) but what levels can the alltrax controller be pre-programmed for?
