Default Re: What am I missing for 36 to 48 Marathon?

Fleck and iaefebs, already added the rear seat for the kids. Heavy duty springs get here next week. I've thought about the extra weight, but here in Tampa we only have man made hills, and none on the island where I live (just a small bridge). I guess when the time comes I'll need to decide on 6-8 volts with a new charger or 8-6volts and the chargers I have.

Just another thought I had. I know I could search this. But to the members that have already added extra batteries did you need to add support under the bag well? You can't just place 130 plus pounds on a 20 year old plastic liner can you?

Ok .. can you place two batteries on a fiberglass liner without support underneath? If you add battery hold downs do you drill through the fiberglass and use large washers to prevent pull through?

I used 2 nylon tie down/cargo straps. Using a Rotozip; I cut slots through the bagwell(2 in the back portion and 2 in the floor) and secured the batterries.
