Default date a clubcar by serial number to get batteries

i need a bit of help .. i recently received a club car electric golf cart and have no knowledge of it at all .. i need to find out the voltage it is .. the batteries it takes (none in it but it runs i know iv seen it.) also the year it was made so i can locate other parts if i am to restore it. it is: covered cart with front and back seats ... electric.. and serial number is: A9529-446423. if you can help i surely would be thankful. not even sure if its worth fixing but i think it would be cool to get it going again and then go from there ... also ... can it be converted to a gas powered cart without much trouble ... i have a very nice honda engine in my storage building from a none working generator of 8 horsepower approx. thanks ..

it is a 1995 model. That is all I know but it will help you. It would be fairly hard to make it gas but since it has no batteries you really dont have much to lose.

If it is 36 volt, you will need 6, 6Volt batteries. If it is 48 volt, you will need 6, 8 volt batteries.

95 is when they started 48V systems...I would assume 48V, but do not assume anything...

8 Hp is not enough ....

CC continued to produce 36v resistor carts for fleet use until 2004 .... in addition to the 48v carts starting 1995

Just look at the charger recepticle, or, the end of the charger cord.
If it's round, it's 48. If it is flat with 2 prongs, it's 36.

It should read on the motor what the voltage is.

Did you do as BIG BUMP said and check what type of charger recepticle you have?? This should give you the answer to what voltage batterys you need. Also as DTKANA says if possible for you to see motor tag under cart which will give you 36 or 48 volts?
