Ez Go rubber mounts
When I removed my 86 engine I noticed that there were large washers between each of the muffler brackets and the mounting points. This does not look like the original design and I am assuming that there should be a total of 4 rubber washers / mounts to provide some insulation from vibration. Now I have scoured the four corners of the internet and not found anyone who sells this part. So my question is, should there be rubber hardware between the muffer and the bracket? If so who sell it?
In a similar vein, the engine was bolted directly to the frame and from an engineering point I would suspect that there should be engine mounts again to reduce vibration. Does anyone have an answer to this? If anyone is interested in the project please click here Thanks DB |
