whats the switch above the pot?
can i try to adjust it and see what happenes? it sat for a few months before i got it, could it just need a good cleaning? |

no, you need a Curtis PB-6 or a Curtis PB-16.

It's hit or miss when adjusting but worth a try IMO. As I said, those little buggers are sensitive so adjust then check then repeat. You don't have to hit the 5k dead on but I'd keep it below 6k.

adjust screw is hard to get to,can i take the pot out and adjust it until i get 1 to 5K reading, iv tweaked it both ways a little in the cart and no difference

i unhooked the throttle linkage from the pot and checked it again, moving the pot arm by hand it reads 0 to 5.59 set on a 20k ohm scale, messed with the linkage some and got it to read 3.88 ohms using the pedal. problem is still there though
